Along the South Coast

From Galle, the coastline opens into a sequence of surf towns and bays, Weligama, Ahangama, Hiriketiya, each offering different conditions depending on the day.

From May through September, the east coast comes into its own. Arugam Bay is the focal point, known for long, clean waves and a more remote, less developed feel.

Reaching this coastline by yacht removes the friction of overland travel and opens up quieter anchorages beyond the main breaks, where the pace slows and the landscape feels more expansive.
